Ghost Deals & Devil’s Nods

Not all agreements are etched in ink. Some are muttered in backrooms, others whispered in dreams. Some are sealed with a glance across the room, buried at a crossroads or slipped beneath a door.

When Saturn meets the North Node in Pisces on April 14, 2025, we will encounter one of these fog-bound moments where karmic contracts are written in the mist. You see, Pisces doesn’t sign paperwork. It nods. It mimics. It dissolves. And this rare alignment between Saturn, the planet of consequence, and the North Node, our collective compass, marks a quiet but seismic reckoning.

The last time these two met up in Pisces? March of 1877, right as the United States struck a hushed deal known as the Compromise of 1877, or the Wormley Deal. While no written evidence of the deal exist, and its precise details are a matter of historical debate, most historians agree that the federal government adopted a policy of leniency towards the South to ensure federal authority and Republican Rutherford B. Hayes's election as president.

History Repeats: The 1877 Compromise & The Shadow of Political Corruption

In the aftermath of the 1876 U.S. presidential election, chaos loomed. Democrat Samuel J. Tilden had won the popular vote and held more uncontested electoral votes than Republican Rutherford B. Hayes. But 20 votes across four states were disputed. Tilden needed just one. Hayes needed all 20.

With no clear constitutional procedure to resolve the crisis, Congress created a special 15-member commission. Predictably, along party lines, the 8-7 commission handed every contested vote to Hayes.

Emerging business and industry interests of the “New South” found common ground with Republican businessmen, particularly with the railroads. Together they met secretly at Wormley's Hotel in Washington to forge a compromise that would aid improvements like bridges, canals and railroads wanted by the South and in return, federal troops would be withdrawn from the South thereby ending post-Civil War Reconstruction… and opening the door to the Jim Crow era. The supposed secret deal was struck, Hayes became president, and the dominance of the Democratic Party in the South was cemented. After 1877, support for white supremacy generally caused whites to vote for Democrats and the region became known as the "Solid South"

It was a devil’s bargain sealed not in ink, but in silence.

Joseph Keppler, 1877: Roscoe Conkling as Mephistopheles watches Rutherford B. Hayes walk off with “The Solid South” captures it all: Mephistopheles watches Hayes stroll away with the South, as Faustian* quotes echo below. *Faustian refers to a situation or agreement where someone sacrifices their moral values or spiritual integrity in exchange for knowledge, power, or material gain, often likened to the legend of Faust, who made a pact with the Devil. It implies a deep conflict between ambition and ethical considerations.

The astrological tie in to this event? On March 2, 1877, Saturn conjoined the North Node at 10° Pisces. The next day, the troops withdrew and our nation was forever changed.

With this same conjunction aligning for the first time in 138 years, there is an eerie similarity between yet another contentious election cycle and the current political events. Saturn and the North Node will meet on April 14th and we have to wonder what’s in store in?

Will this be another backroom bargain? Or a moment of karmic exposure?

The Astrological Breakdown: Why This Is Big

Saturn, the planet of responsibility and karmic return, really doesn’t tolerate illusion. When it conjoins with North Node (the collective direction of soul growth) we are pressed to face the consequences of our past choices. At 26° Pisces, within 4°of the very end of the zodiac, this becomes a closing ceremony of sorts. The final act before a new story begins. Is this our opportunity to once and for all declare a more perfect Union, or to re-write our very foundation?

Sabian Symbol Sequence: A Metaphor

Each degree of the zodiac has a Sabian Symbol, a visual key to its archetypal energy. I talked about them in the Aries Eclipse Prophecy post. This time, the symbols surrounding this conjunction are uncannily aligned with our current moment:

25–26° Pisces: “Watching the very thin Moon Crescent appearing at sunset, different people realize that the time has come to go ahead with their different projects.”
A split in direction. The moment when people decide: I’m going this way, with or without consensus.

26–27° Pisces: “The Harvest Moon Illumines A Clear Autumnal Sky.”
The results of the past are fully revealed. There is no more hiding. The light has arrived.

To me, these symbols describe a collective divergence of paths, and an unflinching illumination of truth. Something corrupt is exposed and a reckoning follows. With March 29th’s Prophecy Eclipse, Signalgate exposed the illegal use of a public app to conduct goverment policy, and put out troops and national security at risk. Will we find more cracks in the facade of illusion disguised as leadership?

Libra Full Moon: The Wake-Up Call Before the Reckoning

Just two days before this rare conjunction, a Full Moon will rise in Libra at 23° (April 12, 2025) This moon, the Worm Moon, is about justice, law, and relational balance. (I can’t help but circle back to the “Wormly Agreement” as an uncanny connection to this April’s moon.)

The Sabian Symbol for this moon?

22-23° Libra: “Chanticleer’s Voice Heralds Sunrise.”
This rooster doesn’t just bring the dawn, he declares it! Could this be another whistleblower moment? A bold naming of what others refuse to say?

23-24° Libra: “A Butterfly With A Third Wing On Its Left Side.”
Something has changed, but not in a balanced. A transformation has left the butterfly deformed. Could this be an echo the feminine (left, intuitive) side? Has it been left altered, or stronger?

To me, these symbols whisper: The truth rises. And once it does, we don’t fly the same.

What Might Unfold

While astrology doesn’t predict exact events, it reveals the archetypal stage. And right now, it’s drenched in themes of:

  • A political or legal revelation: A leak, a ruling, or a moment of long-delayed justice?

  • Accountability for hidden corruption or deceptive leadership.

  • Unmasking manipulations through media, AI, or corporate shadow games.

  • A collective decision point: Will systems of justice serve truth—or protect silence?

This moment isn’t just political—it’s spiritual.

Saturn in Pisces dissolves what no longer serves. The North Nodepoints to the future we’re meant to embody. In April, they press a finger to the page—not to sign something formal, but to leave a faint watermark: a contract only the soul can read.

Is this the future you’re agreeing to?

We may not be signing with ink, but make no mistake, this is an agreement! A silent nod from the depths. A karmic yes or no.

The cosmos is watching. And so are the ghosts of past bargains.

Final Thought: The Signature You Can’t See

If we began with a whispered nod, let’s end by remembering what that silence contains: Intention. Agreement. Power.

April 2025 is a threshold, and you are the one carrying the pen.

Not all contracts are signed aloud. Some live in your breath, your boundaries, your brave Yes! Or your sacred No. Now is the time to ask yourself:

  • What truth have I been circling, but not saying?

  • What karmic pattern am I ready to un-sign?

  • What future am I silently nodding into being?

This isn’t just Saturn’s reckoning. It’s yours, too.

And the next chapter is already on its way.
