BASKET SNAKE
For the one who listens when the forest whispers.
Product Story
This vintage linen was discovered on the very same day, in the very same little shop, as the Sunflower Snake cloth. I always ask the textiles if they are willing to become something new because not all of them consent. Some prefer to stay “unblemished,” honoring the life they’ve already lived. But this one? She was warm, cottage-core sweet, and quiet… and she agreed with a softness that felt almost relieved to be seen.
The handwork was already exquisite. Four woven baskets, each holding gentle flowers in shades of yellow, pink, and red. Tiny, perfect stitches forming the handles and a brown bow tied at the top of each one. Whoever made this piece had an eye for detail and a steady hand. I loved that the design left an empty white pause in the center of all that careful embroidery. It was a perfect frame just waiting for the perfect image.
Then, under the Scorpio New Moon of 2025, with Mercury, Venus, and the Sun all sitting together in Scorpio, the image of snake arrived. Coiled in the center frame, meant to live right in the heart of the cloth. A snake with eyes along its back and an eye of knowledge at the crown. It would be a reminder that nature never rushes and always blooms in perfect timing.
This snake is holding her magic close until the perfect moment arrives
The body flashes with a subtle shimmer of teals, blues, soft greens that shift into hints of magenta when the light hits just right. A nod to the snake’s scales. Around her, a matte yellow vine encircles the coil as a symbol of the growth that happens below the surface long before anyone can see it.
The baskets now frame this snake, like the four corners of a cottage garden. There is something distinctly woodland-meets-witch about this piece… It feels like the kind of object an herbalist or cottage witch might keep near their plants, their tinctures, or their familiars.
This is a cloth for someone who:
Understands that growth is cyclical.
Knows wisdom often arrives in spirals, not straight lines.
Is friends with the animals of the forest.
Tends to their own personal magic.

Care
Please note: this is a vintage linen piece, hand embellished by Emily. The pigments and inks are permanent but may transfer if exposed to high moisture. (Don’t spill your moon water. It may be totally fine, but I haven’t submerged it to test it) Just be cautious.
Keep your cloth dry and away from water or oils, and avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve its vibrancy. Because each cloth is hand crafted, no two will ever be identical.
Safety
If using with candles, always place a fire-safe dish or plate beneath as natural fibers are flammable and should never be left unattended near flame.
