Karuna Altar Cloth
Karuna (Sanskrit) — noun
Compassion in action; the wish for all beings to be free from suffering. The active expression of empathy, understanding, and peace.
✴︎ Product Description
The Karuna mantra teaches that true compassion is the movement of the heart seeking to heal what has been wounded. Invoking this energy invites harmony, peace, and a deep understanding across every branch of our family tree.
Hand-painted on natural cotton, this cloth carries the intention of reconciliation for those who feel both love and ache when they look back, yet who still choose peace. The circular design echoes the rings of a tree, with protective bark and a gentle thread through each generation. The rings represent a breath of compassion expanding outward through time.
Use this cloth when working with the energy of the Karuna mantra, or whenever you wish to awaken compassion within yourself and your lineage. Let its quiet geometry remind you that what you heal in yourself ripples backward and forward through all generations. For those who know that not all the stories behind them were easy, yet still choose to reach for peace and healing, again and again.
✴︎ Use this cloth:
as a calming layer for your altar or meditation space
beneath your cards while doing ancestral or inner-child work
during family healing rituals or forgiveness practices
as a daily reminder that compassion is the truest form of courage
When you create space for peace, your ancestors gather to listen.
✴︎ Energetic Infusion
This Karuna Altar Cloth was created with sacred timing at it’s core. First painted under the energy of July’s family centered Cancer New Moon, and later blessed beneath the first Colorado snowfall during October’s relationship centered Libra New Moon, when balance and forgiveness are reborn.
The fabric was hand-dyed and painted with reiki-infused water, and spoken over with the Karuna mantra of compassion in action. The energy of Libra’s harmony and Cancer’s heart-centered care intertwine within the fibers, calling in peace, emotional healing, and restored understanding.
All paint and dye bath was stirred clockwise to increase harmony between past and present, and the finished cloth was blessed within the Akashic field to seal in compassion and understanding.

Dimensions & Care
This cloth measures approximately 20” x 20” square (50.8cm). It is hand-painted on natural colored (unbleached) cotton and hand-dyed in a rich, canyon brown hue with rich with soft teal edges. The color settles differently on every surface, creating truly one-of-a-kind variations.
Please note: this is an art piece, not a utility textile. The dye is not color-fast and may transfer if exposed to moisture.
Do not wash, and always place on a dry surface away from water or oils. Avoid prolonged sunlight to preserve the pigment’s depth.
Each cloth is hand crafted, no two will ever be identical.
