Moon Phases Altar Cloth

$55.00

For the woman who lives by her own lunar logic.

Product Story

When I discovered this vintage cotton dresser topper, it felt as though it had lived a previous life in the home of someone who liked things just so. It’s tidy edges, crisp structure, embroidered florals placed were placed with care and there were no stains. I was a little surprised when it agreed to becoming something new in my studio. It was as if she wanted to shed the “proper” façade and lean into a little magic. A little play. A little moon-madness.

Just as the Moon slipped into Aquarius, I dyed the crisp white cloth with a deep forest-green/teal. Scorpio season tends to have the effect on all us! Leaning away from perfect and into the unknown, she took the shift in stride. Her personality softened, brightened, and became something freer:
a cloth for the soft-spoken witch who knows anchoring their energy with the cycles of the moon, keeps them grounded.

This is a piece for someone who honors their phases…
the way they wax, wane, grow, turn inward, and glow again.

This would be a wonderful cloth for the intuitive who reads at fairs, markets, kitchen tables, and in all the quiet little corners of their world where magic lives.

The moons were hand-painted with bleach, creating an almost glowing, gentle cream against the green. And in the bottom corners sit playful witches’ hats: curved, whimsical, almost like cornucopias before their black silhouette snaps into witchy clarity. A wink and a little reminder not to take everything too seriously.

Because each cloth is hand crafted, no two will ever be identical.
