There are some linens that arrive already humming with energy and stitched by hands you’ll never meet. This vintage embroidered linen was one of them. I found it tucked in a thrift-store corner, headed for a future it didn’t deserve. I always ask vintage linens, if they are willing to be renewed. Not all agree to. This darling piece said yes to becoming more that it had been. Giving something a second life, and a new purpose infuses energy in unpredictable ways.
When the inspiration hit that this was to become a tarot cloth, something to lovingly wrap a deck of cards in, it came together so quickly I felt as though the original makers hands were there helping me.
The base is a fine, drapey white linen, hemmed by its original maker and embroidered with a small cottage in shades of red, pink, and black. The stitching itself was left unfinished, which gives the entire piece a softness. It feels as if the maker set it down one afternoon and time simply… kept going.
To honor the handwork before mine, I added my own: rose-gold doves, delicate vines, and silk ties that allow you to wrap your deck lovingly.
The word Soulucence, has been a favorite of mine for sometime. The feeling of who we truly are, when we let down our masks, our armor. This cloth is meant to hold the you beneath the noise. The intuition you share in private readings and quiet moments. It carries distinctly feminine energy and is perfect for the reader who keeps their tarot practice close to the heart, yet loves offering guidance to friends and loved ones.

This piece was completed just as Saturn stationed direct in Pisces, a powerful moment of spiritual structure, inner commitment, and clarity returning after a long season beneath the surface. Venus opposed Uranus in Taurus for the final time, weaving a thread of liberation, surprise, and soul-level authenticity. And with Venus trine Neptune in Pisces for the last time, this cloth became infused with softness, intuition, and the kind of quiet magic that feels like remembering. If I had known all of this was happening as I made her, I might have been afraid to continue. That is some powerful energy!
This cloth chose to be born under a sky insisting on truth, beauty, and the freedom to be exactly who you are.

Please note: this is a vintage linen piece, hand embellished by Emily. The pigments and inks are permanent but may transfer if exposed to high moisture. (Don’t spill your moonwater. It may come out totally fine, but I haven’t submerged it to test.) Just be cautious. Keep your cloth dry and away from water or oils, and avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve its vibrancy.
Because each cloth is hand crafted, no two will ever be identical.

If using with candles, always place a fire-safe dish or plate beneath as natural fibers are flammable and should never be left unattended near flame.
